One Stop BIM Solution
Seminar & Gathering ACE Jawa Tengah - DI Yogyakarta 2025
Semarang, July 5th, 2025 – GeoBIM Indonesia actively participated in the Seminar & Gathering held by the Association of Chief Engineers (ACE) Jateng - DIY, at Hotel Patra Semarang, Jl. Sisingamangaraja, Candisari. Carrying the theme “Integrating Digital Technology into Engineering for Enhanced Efficiency” this event served as a key platform for professionals in engineering and facility management across Jawa Tengah and Yogyakarta.
BIM Driven Solutions for Engineering Efficiency
During the event, the GeoBIM Indonesia team introduced the strategic role of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in facility management, especially for commercial and public-use buildings such as hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, office towers, and airports. BIM is no longer confined to design and construction phases—it has evolved into an essential tool for the longer-term operation and maintenance of buildings.
With BIM, facility management can be handled in a structured, data-driven, and automated manner. Every building element can be digitally modeled and linked with critical information such as maintenance schedules, service life, and repair history. This empowers chief engineers to respond quickly to technical issues, optimize operational costs, and extend the lifecycle of their building assets.
Expanding Digital Capabilities with 3D Scanning Technology
In addition to BIM, GeoBIM Indonesia also showcased the innovative Handheld SLAM CHCNAV RS10, a portable 3D scanning solution capable of mapping indoor and outdoor spaces quickly and comprehensively—even in areas that are difficult to access using conventional survey tools. Utilizing SLAM technology (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), this device allows users to scan while moving, significantly speeding up the documentation process without the need for extensive ground control points (GCPs).
The CHCNAV RS10 is highly applicable across various sectors, including construction, building maintenance, mining, architecture, and the digitalization of existing structures. With high-accuracy results that can be directly integrated into BIM workflows, this scanner helps bridge the gap between the field and the digital workspace. GeoBIM Indonesia encourages the adoption of such technology as part of a modern, data-centric engineering workflow.
Through innovative BIM and scanning technology, GeoBIM Indonesia continues to provide solutions that improve operational precision and efficiency, both now and in the future.
