The ITS Rectorate Building and Manarul Ilmi Mosque is one of the important buildings in the Surabaya Institute of Technology area. The application of Scan to BIM in important buildings such as buildings and mosques is very important. Through Scan to BIM, the actual condition of the building can be documented in an accurate 3D digital format. Through scanning using technologies such as laser scanners or LiDAR, all building elements-including structure, architecture, and mechanical-electrical systems-can be recorded in point cloud form and then processed into a BIM model. This model allows building managers to have a precise digital representation, making it easier to monitor building conditions, plan renovations, and manage facilities effectively.

In addition, Scan to BIM helps in the process of maintenance and periodic inspections, as the 3D model can display detailed information related to materials, utility systems, and emergency evacuation routes. For the ITS Mosque, this model can be used to manage lighting systems, ventilation, and congregation capacity, while for the Rectorate Building, the BIM model can help manage workspaces, security systems, and campus infrastructure networks. With accurate and integrated data, asset management becomes more efficient, and facilitates the process of repair or expansion in the future without the need to re-survey manually.
